Ashley & Jeff are an amazing couple with an amazing story. You know how everyone says if it is meant to be that it will happen eventually. They met and briefly dated in middle school and then went their separate ways, yet somehow managed to stay in touch through high school, 1000′s of miles of separation, and war. Ultimately they wound up together again and I can tell you it is obvious they love each other more than words could ever express. Just look at the photos from their first look and it is a plain as day. I am so glad that they let me share that hour with them. I knew we would get some good photos from the first look based on their engagement photos and Ashley’s bridal photos in new orleans. I was still surprised by how how awesome they were, and it is all thanks to Ashley and Jeff and the amazing love they share.

Adrienne & Mark wanted their engagement photos to reflect their rural lifestyle. It just so happened that state fair was taking place at the time we scheduled their engagement pictures so I decided to bring them to the fair for a little fun as well as playing in the woods.

I was contacted to shoot baby Jackson’s new born portraits before he was even born. Jackson’s mom and I talked about how the best time to work with newborns is within the first week and that I should be notified as soon as he was born so we could schedule his portrait session. While working with Jackson his “Big” sister Kate was very interested in all my gear so we got her involved for a few shots. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy

Kathryn and Kyle’s wedding was awesome!!! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was seriously one of the best parties I’ve seen. I knew it would be fun based on the good time we had while doing their engagement photos at lsu, I just had no idea how much fun. They even got me involved a few times, and yes there are photos of that too. The surprise of the evening was the impromptu trip to the fountains at the end of the night. I can’t wait for their newlywed session.

Kathryn and Kyle have a pretty fun story behind their engagement session. Kyle was a collegiate track runner, and after winning the championship run, still covered in sweat he ran to the stands and proposed to Kathryn on the spot. So naturally they wanted their engagement session to take place in the track stadium…no easy feat I might add. It took some string pulling and I was restricted to a very small time window, but I think they turned out great.

It occasionally happens that I will book a bride a few weeks before her wedding. In most cases I am already booked but sometimes the bride lucks out and I am free. This was the case with Beth. Just a few weeks before her wedding she decided that her big day was too important a milestone in her life to not have it properly photographed. She had initially decided on letting family and friends take her photos to save money. Ultimately she changed her mind. The first time I actually met Beth was the day of her bridal portrait session just two weeks before her wedding. She said she wanted a mix of classical and fun and whimsical. This is what we came up with. Oh and let me just say I was really surprised at the air that girl could get in that wedding dress…you’ll see what I mean.
